Professional M.L.B. franchise the Chicago Cubs recently announced their second annual Grateful Dead night, scheduled to take place at the team’s game against the L.A. Dodgers on Wednesday, April 24th at Chicago’s Wrigley Field.

In addition to a ticket to the game, fans who purchase the Cubs’ special ticket offer will receive a double-sided, seven-inch vinyl record featuring two live Grateful Dead cuts. Pressed at Jack White‘s Third Man Pressing in Detroit, Michigan, the limited-edition vinyl record is only available as part of this special ticket offer. “Side A” includes the Grateful Dead’s performance of “Brown-Eyed Women” at Chicago’s Auditorium Theatre on May 13th, 1977, and “Side B” covers the Dead’s version of “Cumberland Blues” from the same venue on October 22nd, 1971.Ticket holders are also invited to stop by Gallagher Way to enjoy a pregame concert by Mr. Blotto.

The Cubs join fellow baseball teams the St. Louis Cardinals and Brooklyn Cyclones, as well as the Detroit Red Wings and Florida Panthers, in celebrating the Grateful Dead and their music this year at sporting events.

A portion of the Chicago Cubs’ net proceeds from Grateful Dead Night will be donated to the Grateful Dead’s Rex Foundation.
