Nearly 20 years in, Circus Mind can steel keep the party going, as evidenced by the band’s latest single, “Baby Come Back Down”. The track is set to appear on the New York genre-fluid rock outfit’s upcoming fourth release, Bioluminate.

From the elegant jazz clubs of New York City to the sweaty funk joints of New Orleans, Circus Mind encapsulates it all in this latest single. Helmed by keyboardist/vocalist Mark Rechler, the sextet minds the gap between jazz fusion, swamp rock, reggae dub, and a host of other influences.

Circus Mind’s last full-length release, Joy Machine, featured guest appearances from Nels Cline, Marc Ribot, Ivan Neville, Walter Wolfman Washington, Scott Metzger, and more. Over the years, the band has built up a stock of goodwill opening for such luminaries as Toots & The Maytals, The Neville Brothers, The Radiators, and more. Last year, the group issued the Joy Machine single “Are You Ready?” which hosted contributions from rising guitarist Brandon “Taz” Niederauer”.
