The Claypool Lennon Delirium kicked off a three-night weekend run throughout Colorado on Friday with a performance at the Mishawaka Amphitheatre in Bellvue, CO. The Les Claypool and Sean Ono Lennon-led psych-rock outfit continue their ongoing summer run of shows in promotion of their latest studio effort, 2019’s South of Reality.

The band filled its 16-song performance with mostly new material before wrapping with a trio of classic rock covers in front of the picturesque outdoor Colorado venue. Beginning the set with the heavily psychedelic “Little Fishies“, the band powered through the evening with performances of “Cricket and the Genie” (Movements I & II), “South of Reality”, “Amethyst Realm”, “Breath of a Salesman”, and “Like Fleas”. The set would come to a melodically intoxicating end with Lennon channeling his late father’s psychedelic masterpiece with a cover of The Beatles’ “Tomorrow Never Knows”, followed by the band’s rendition of Pink Floyd‘s “Astronomy Domine”. The show’s one-song encore brought the band out for one more performance with another cover, this time being their take on The Who‘s “Boris the Spider”.
