On Saturday, November 17th, 2018, The Capitol Theatre will host The Complete Last Waltz, honoring The Band‘s famous farewell concert that was held on Thanksgiving Day in 1976 at Bill Graham‘s Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. The tradition originally started in 2012 at The Warfield Theater in San Francisco, but moved to the Port Chester, New York venue in 2013, where it would return again in 2014 and 2016.
The 2018 installment of The Complete Last Walz will feature Joe Russo (Joe Russo’s Almost Dead), Scott Metzger (Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, WOLF!), Jeff Chimenti (Dead & Company), Nels Cline (Wilco), Marco Benevento (Joe Russo’s Almost Dead), Craig Finn (The Hold Steady), Dave Dreiwitz (Ween, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead), Nicole Atkins, Alecia Chakour (Tedeschi Trucks Band), Stuart Bogie (Superhuman Happiness), Katie Crutchfield (Waxahatchee), Sam Cohen (Yellowbirds), Binky Griptite (The Dap-Kings), Craig Finn (The Hold Steady), Meg Duffy (Hand Habits), Matt Vasquez (Delta Spirit), Josh Kaufman (Bob Weir’s Campfire Band), and many more.
