This summer, a number of our favorite acts will be rolling through the Ford Amphitheater at the Coney Island Boardwalk. In addition to dozens of other shows that span genres, Ford Amphitheater will play host to fan-favorites Rebelution on July 12th, Slightly Stoopid on August 9th, and Dark Star Orchestra on August 10th.

Rebelution, composed of Eric Rachmany, Rory Carey, Marley D. Williams, and Wesley Finley, is a California-based reggae band. Most recently, the group released a brand-new album, Free Rein, on June 15th, which is a feel-good follow-up to 2016’s critically acclaimed Falling Into Place. However, while Free Rein sees the band evolving and developing its sound, Rebelution still offers up the catchy melodies and socially conscious lyrics the group is known for.

Rebelution will perform the Ford Amphitheater at the Coney Island Boardwalk on Thursday, July 12th. The band will be joined for this stop on their Free Rein summer 2018 by Stephen Marley, Common Kings, Zion I, and DJ Mackle. Head here for ticketing and more information.

Another reggae great that will be performing at the iconic Coney Island boardwalk is Slightly Stoopid, which is currently on the road for the School’s Out For Summer 2018 tour with Pepper and Stick Figure. Similarly born and bred in California, the group has become known for their distinct sound that blends hip-hop, folk, blues, rock, metal, punk, and more into their reggae-inspired sound.

Slightly Stoopid will head to Coney Island’s Ford Amphitheater on Thursday, August 9th, with Pepper and Stick Figure. Head here for more information and ticketing.

To round out our list of our favorite shows coming up at the Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island, make sure you don’t miss Dark Star Orchestra. Dark Star Orchestra has been a fan-favorite Grateful Dead-inspired act for decades. The group is a well-known road dog, extensively and regularly touring the country and bringing their exacting recreations of specific Grateful Dead shows to the masses. And recently, the group has been on fire, performing with Jerry Garcia’s original guitar, “The Wolf”, in Boston and with their debut at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre this weekend.

For more information and ticketing for Dark Star Orchestra’s upcoming show at Ford Amphitheater on the Coney Island Boardwalk on Friday, August 10th, head here.
