Acclaimed keyboardist and funk bandleader Cory Henry has announced his first-ever holiday album, Christmas With You, due out December 11th via Culture Collective. The seven-track holiday project will follow Henry’s recently released Something To Say studio album, which arrived back on October 30th.

On Christmas With You, Henry teams up with a number of collaborators including Jay White, Lenny Smith, Carlin White, and Anaysha Figueroa-Cooper, who help him perform Gospel-inspired renditions of well-known holiday songs ranging from “Little Drummer Boy” to “Oh Holy Night”. Additionally, Henry will perform songs featured on the album during a virtual performance as part NPR‘s Jazz Piano Christmas event live from the Kennedy Center Opera House on December 5th. The performance will stream online and on NPR’s radio network.

Henry recently appeared on a pair of holiday-inspired recordings which won’t appear on his album, including a cover of “The First Noel” with R&B singer Jazmine Sullivan, and “Do You Hear What I Hear” alongside Stevie Mackey and The Eleven. Listen to both new holiday recordings below.
