Guitarist Cory Wong premiered the fifth episode of his Cory And The Wongnotes online variety show on Thursday, which featured a cameo from talented trumpet player and singer, Jon Lampley. Since debuting last month, the ongoing musical webseries from the funk guitarist has previously aired episodes with guests ranging from Antwaun Stanley to Cody Fry.
Episode five–like each of the previous four episodes was filmed last August–saw Wong and his Wongnotes backing band (and Lampley) perform the new original track “Headin’ Down To Bunkers”, which also appeared the Cory and the Wongnotes studio album released last Friday. Wong and Lampley also sat down for an industry-focused interview and conversation earlier in the episode as well.
