Guitarist Cory Wong premiered the sixth episode of his Cory And The Wongnotes online variety show on Thursday, which focused on the strategies and importance of “Practice” along with a sit-down interview with bassist Sonny Thompson a.k.a. Sonny T.
Following a quirky skit centered around the corporate office shenanigans, the sixth episode of Wong’s ongoing webseries continued with an interview with Sonny T., who discussed his experiences first learning how to play guitar and bass, to his gradual progression as an accomplished player. Sonny T. notably went on to join Prince‘s recording and stage band The New Power Generation in the 1990s.
The latest episode also featured a full-band performance of “Starfire”, one of the new originals heard on Wong’s latest studio album, Cory and the Wongnotes, released earlier this month.
