Boston-based soul-pop septet Couch has announced a twenty-date headline outing billed as the Sunshower Tour. The tour, featuring support from fellow Boston-based artist and 2022 NPR Tiny Desk Contest Winner Alisa Amador, will celebrate the group’s forthcoming sophomore EP, Sunshower, due out in early November.
The band—comprised of Tema Siegel (lead vocals), Zach Blankstein (guitar, bass, vocals), Jared Gozinsky (drums, percussion), Will Griffin (bass), Danny Silverston (keys), Jeffrey Pinsker-Smith (trumpet), and Eric Tarlin (sax, vocals, synths)—will begin its second-ever headlining tour on October 6th, 2023 in Charlotte, NC and continue on the road through January 27th, 2023, when the outing will come to a close in Indianapolis, IN. Along the way, Couch will make highlight stops at Live Oak, FL’s Suwannee Hulaween (10/28), Boston, MA’s Royale (11/10, sold out), Brooklyn, NY’s Brooklyn Bowl (11/11), Washington, D.C.’s Atlantis (11/18, sold out), Seattle, WA’s The Crocodile (11/29), Portland, OR’s Mississippi Studios (11/30), San Francisco, CA’s The Independent (12/1), Los Angeles, CA’s El Rey Theatre (12/2), and more.
Until Spring 2021, the members of Couch were scattered across the country at various universities. They tackled the challenges of being a “long-distance” band, writing and recording virtually for three years, and in February 2021 released their debut, self-titled EP. In 2022, Couch continued its upward trajectory with a trio of new singles (“Saturday”, “Poems”, and “Autumn”) and headed out on its maiden headlining tour.
