On Saturday night, Cris Jacobs Band welcomed Phish bassist Mike Gordon at The Soundry in Columbia MD, following Phish’s performance earlier in the evening at the nearby Merriweather Post Pavilion.

Gordon emerged during Jacobs and his band’s set to add some depth with an additional bass on a cover of  Sir Joe Quarterman’s “(I Got) So Much Trouble In My Mind”. Cris Jacobs Band and Gordon also offered up a cover of Ricky Skaggs‘ “Walls Of Time”, a song that Gordon has played in the past with his solo outfit.

Jacobs and Gordon were having so much fun together that they kept their night going with a pickin’ party on the tour bus until 3 a.m.!
