The Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour will kick off on October 18th in Montreal, QC. Lauper will be joined throughout the tour by special guests to be announced at a later date, stopping at major markets across North America including Detroit, a debut at Madison Square Garden in her hometown of New York City, Nashville, Atlanta, Austin, Los Angeles, Seattle, and more before wrapping on December 5th in Chicago.

The tour announcement coincides with the release of the new Cyndi Lauper documentary, Let the Canary Sing, arriving on Paramount+ on Tuesday, June 4th. Directed by Alison Ellwood (Magic Trip: Ken Kesey’s Search for a Kool Place, History of the Eagles), the film charts Lauper’s iconic career through her chart-topping music to her+ activism which continues strong to this day through her LGBTQ+ non-profit True Colors United and the Girls Just Want To Have Fundamental Rights Fund to support women’s reproductive rights. To celebrate the release, Lauper will be honored with an imprint ceremony at the famed TCL Chinese Theatre Hollywood in Los Angeles on June 4th, followed by a special private screening of Let the Canary Sing and a Q&A.
