Cypress Hill kicked off its We Legalized It tour over the weekend with a trio of East Coast shows in Boston, Brooklyn, and Atlantic City.
Joined by The Pharcyde and Souls of Mischief, the 420-friendly hip-hop outfit opened the tour at Roadrunner in Boston Thursday night before rolling on to Brooklyn Steel on Friday. Souls of Mischief kicked off each night with DJ Lazy Boy, followed by The Pharcyde, who were accompanied by DJ Cell, and Cypress Hill—Sen Dog, B Real, and Bobo, who played percussion in a fierce “DJ/percussion battle” with DJ Lord—finished things off. All three groups have deep roots and are currently celebrating the 30th anniversaries of albums.
The weekend then culminated on 4/20 in Atlantic City, NJ, where Cypress Hill and Souls of Mischief teamed up with Sublime with Rome and Action Bronson for a special Bongwalk Empire event at the Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena.
