Dance Party Time Machine has announced the lineup for the 2020 incarnation of the recurring all-star super-jam, set to take place on February 28th at Denver’s Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom.

This year’s lineup will include previous Dance Party Time Machine captains Marc BrownsteinAaron Magner, and Allen Aucoin of The Disco Biscuits, as well as Mike Greenfield of Lotus. The 2020 event will also feature Dance Party Time Machine veterans Jeff Franca from Thievery Corporation and musical directors Eric Low and Jonah Wisneski.

This year will also see some new blood brought into the DPTM tradition, including pedal steel master Robert Randolph and Trey Anastasio Band’s Jennifer Hartswick (trumpet) and Natalie Cressman (trombone). The lineup will also pull from Colorado favorites including The Magic Beans, Analog Son, YAMN, Rapidgrass, Tiger Party, Such, Other Worlds, Fox Street, Coal Town Reunion, Rally ‘Round The Family and more.

Past editions of Dance Party Time Machine have featured performances “Always Be My Baby” by Mariah Carey featuring Antwan Staley and Cory Wong of Vulfpeck, Allen Aucoin of The Disco Biscuits, members of The Magic Beans, Analog Son, and Fox Street; a disco homage to Beethoven—”A Fifth Of Beethoven” by Walter Murphy featuring Marc Brownstein, Aron Magner, and Allen Aucoin, members of The Motet and YAMN; and “Freedom! ’90” by George Michael, featuring Brownstein, Magner, and Aucoin, Tom Hamilton of Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Mike Greenfield of Lotus, members of Dynohunter, The Magic Beans, and Fox Street. One never knows what could happen when entering the Dance Party Time Machine…
