Daniel Donato and Cosmic Country revisited their performance of “Gotta Get Southbound” from Raleigh, NC with new, pro-shot footage. The concert shown in the clip took place on March 4th at The Pour House Music Hall in front of an “oversold out” crowd, per the video’s description.
The track roars to life with a low hum from the frontman who is quickly gaining traction in the live music world. The song rollicks down the tracks with help from the Cosmic Country backing band, consisting of Nathan Aronowitz (keys/vocals), Will “Mustang” McGee (bass/vocals), and Noah Winner Miller (drums/percussion). The group’s layered backing vocals raise Donato’s unadulterated voice to new heights as he picks out his signature style combining elements of rockabilly with modern jam peaks.
“There is always a need for a story of departure, adventure, exploration, and freedom,” the video’s description reads. “This tune is one we’ve been cooking with for a few months, it is unreleased, but it is alive in our set each night. ‘Gotta Get Southbound’ encompasses many emotions, but mainly, it is for the soul that needs to adventure to awaken and discover a better world and reality.”
