Long-running Grateful Dead tribute act Dark Star Orchestra has announced the 2022 edition of Dark Star Jubilee, set to return to Legend Valley in Thornville, OH from May 27th–29th, 2022.
Produced by All Good Presents, Dark Star Jubilee will once again help kick off the summer festival season in the Midwest with three nights of music, camping, and community.
In addition to a total of six sets by the host band, Dark Star Jubilee 2022 will feature Railroad Earth and Peter Rowan performing Old & In The Way. The weekend will also feature performances by Yonder Mountain String Band, Melvin Seals & JGB, Galactic, Keller Williams’ Grateful Grass, BoomBox, Donna the Buffalo, Holly Bowling, Jeff Mattson & Friends, Rumpke Mountain Boys, Magnolia Boulevard, Con Brio, The Quasi Kings, and Katie Henry Band.
The 2022 edition of the festival will mark its first full iteration since 2019 following two years of pandemic-imposed interruptions. “We are thrilled to be in the artist announcement and planning phase for the 9th Dark Star Jubilee,” said All Good Festival promoter Tim Walther in a statement. “We figure since we lost two years to Covid, that this year will be three times the fun. We are going to pull out all of the stops!”
