Datsik at Irving Plaza

Did you miss Datsik this Saturday at his recent sold out show at Best Buy Theater? Well don’t worry – Datsik’s bringing his Reloaded Tour back to New York City, this time at the more intimate Irving Plaza for one more banger in the city that never sleeps. The Firepower Reloaded Tour also features sets from Griz and Rekoil, as well as The Vortex visual production, featuring 3D mapping by V Squared Labs, who produced visuals for Amon Tobin, Infected Mushroom, Coachella, Ultra Music Festival, and Electric Daisy Carnival among others. Don’t miss your chance to see Datisk at Irving Plaza, this Friday!

Datsik is the production alias of Tony Beetles, the Canadian dubstep producer and DJ who has been making waves in the music scene over the past few years with some high profile releases and a slew of Beatport #1 tracks. His music blends heavy bass with elements of drum and bass, electro, dubstep, and hip-hop, creating top notch live sets in addition to his critically acclaimed productions.

Last year, he released his debut studio album, Vitamin D, on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records. The album featured collaborations with the likes of Infected Mushroom, Z-Trip, Downlink, and Jonathan Davis of Korn. More recently, he released a collaborative track with Excision, entitled Vindicate, on his own Firepower Records.

Make sure you arrive early and stay late, because there are two huge up and coming artists on the bill as well. Detroit born, but Colorado based producer Griz will be spinning after Datsik, and is known for smooth and soulful beats in addition to heavy bass. Last year, he released Mad Liberation, a collection of songs created over a year’s time, which features an awesome collaboration with Dominic Lalli of Big Gigantic. He also will be touring extensively with Gramatik as ‘Grizmatik’, a collaboration between the two. Up and coming Baltimore based producer Rekoil will be opening with a fun and unique take on dubstep – his Soundcloud says it all – “I produce what I want to hear”.

Tickets are available RIGHT NOW through Live Nation, don’t miss out as this show will surely sell out. All tickets from the cancelled Asbury Park show will be honored as well. If you want to try to win tickets, check out the L4LM Facebook page tomorrow and enter our contest.
