After storming through New York City a few months back with two packed shows, Datsik is returning to New York, this time on Long Island, to bring his jaw dropping live show to Huntington’s Paramount Theatre. The Canadian dubstep superstar will be bringing his Vortex Live show, which includes 3D-Mapping by VSquared Labs, who produced Amon Tobin‘s critically acclaimed ISAM production. You can expect stunning visuals mixed with heart stopping bass drops at what is shaping up to be one of Long Island’s biggest dubstep shows to date.
Datsik is the production alias of Tony Beetles, the Canadian dubstep producer and DJ who has been making waves in the music scene over the past few years with some high profile releases and a slew of Beatport #1 tracks. His music blends heavy bass with elements of drum and bass, electro, dubstep, and hip-hop, creating top notch live sets in addition to his critically acclaimed productions.
Last year, he released his debut studio album, Vitamin D, on Steve Aoki’s (who he opened for last year at The Paramount) Dim Mak Records. The album featured collaborations with the likes of Infected Mushroom, Z-Trip, Downlink, and Jonathan Davis of Korn. More recently, he released a collaborative track with Excision, entitled Vindicate, on his own Firepower Records.
Tickets are available now through The Paramount, and the show is 18+.
