In a recent interview with CBS Local, Dave Grohl confirmed that while he did play the drums on the latest Queens Of The Stone Age album, he will not tour with the band in 2013. His side project with Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones and Queens’ Josh Homme, Them Crooked Vultures, may still re-unite at some point.
“We’ve talked about it, I know that someday we’ll get back together and do stuff, because we love playing with each other,” Grohl told CBS. He also described the time John Paul Jones told him that he was now in “two great bands” as being one of the highlights of his life.
While the Foo Fighters are on hiatus, Grohl is staying busy promoting his upcoming film, Sound City, a documentary about the famous recording study in Van Nuys, California. He will also be the keynote speaker at the South by Southwest festival.
