Dave Matthews Band has pledged $500,000 to support California wildfire relief efforts through its Bama Works nonprofit, and this Saturday, January 30th, Dave Matthews will perform with John Mayer for the first time ever at the FireAid benefit concert at Kia Forum. This summer, the band is renewing its partnership with Live Nation venues to further minimize the environmental footprint of its tour, having successfully completed its first “On The Road To Zero Waste Tour” last year, achieving a milestone where over 90% of fan-generated waste at Live Nation venues was reused, composted, recycled, or donated. Watch a video detailing the initiative below.
The band will also continue its partnership with The Nature Conservancy and REVERB and has committed to help plant a million trees, bringing the total to 6 million trees planted with The Nature Conservancy’s Plant a Billion Trees program, a global reforestation effort.
