Last night, Dave Matthews Band continued their summer tour at the XFINITY Theatre in Hartford, Connecticut. Earlier this month, the group released their ninth studio album, Come Tomorrow, which debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart last week, marking the band’s 7th #1 album to date. The band’s live sets have included a healthy mix of career-spanning material, satisfying fans old and new.

The Saturday night show featured five of the new album’s tunes among a setlist of classic DMB territory and setlist rarities. One of the many highlights was a 16+ minute “Crush”, a tour favorite from 1998’s Before These Crowded Streets. The band also played “Stay or Leave” from Dave Matthews’ Some Devil solo album, marking the first time since The Gorge in September of 2016. Busted Stuff‘s “Captain” was another beloved rarity, performed for the first time since Irvine Meadows in September 2015. Come Tomorrow’s “Black and Blue Bird” was also performed for the first time this year after a nearly two-year gap, marking its first execution since the album’s release. “Lying in the Hands of God” featured a solo by new keyboard/organ player Buddy Strong that also included a partial “American Beauty Intro” incorporated into the end of the song. After a rocking 18-song set, Dave Matthews Band encored with “The Space Between” and “Tripping Billies”.
