Former Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich is currently running for Ohio governor. On April 20th, Dave Matthews will show his support for the candidate when he performs a special acoustic set during a fundraiser at The Agora in Cleveland. As noted by the event’s description,

Kucinich has seen strong initial polling in the Democratic primary thus far, campaigning on issues including a statewide assault weapons ban and education for all. Dave and Dennis first connected at Farm Aid in 2003. Since then, they have collaborated on farmer-friendly initiatives including regenerative agriculture and “carbon farming” as a climate change solution. They traveled together to Standing Rock to support indigenous rights and water protection.

As for Dave Matthews’ other announced plans for 2018, the iconic rocker has a string of Texas and Southern dates plotted with Dave Matthews Band at the end of May.
