A talented crew of musicians from the extended Athens, GA music scene will come together for a virtual streaming event to raise funds to help cover medical expenses for veteran fiddler David Blackmon. Blackmon recently underwent double amputation surgery on the lower part of both of his legs and is reportedly recovering in a physical rehab center.

Performers scheduled to appear on the stream include John Bell (Widespread Panic), Patterson Hood (Drive-By Truckers), Randall Bramblett, Sam Bush, Jeff Mosier, Kevin Kinney, Pickled Holler, and The Granfalloons.

The fundraising stream will take place on Sunday, February 28th at 6:30 p.m. ET on the Hendershots Coffee Facebook and YouTube pages.

David Blackmon’s collaborative credits in the live music scene range from Widespread Panic to Bluegrass Underground to Jerry Reed. Friends have also set up a GoFundMe page to assist Blackmon with his medical bills. For more information on the David Blackmon fundraiser stream on Sunday, February 28th, see below.
