Earlier this month, the estate of late rocker David Bowie confirmed the posthumous release of Something in the Air, a live album documenting his performance at the Elysée Montmartre in Paris, France on October 14th, 1999. The 15-track album arrived onto digital music platforms this past Friday (August 14th) via Parlophone Records, and is now available to stream in full.

As previously mentioned, the October 1999 performance was part of an international tour in support of Bowie’s 1999 Hours album, and took place the day after he was given the “Commandeur” rank of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French government. Then-new songs from the Hours tracklisting performed at the show included “Thursday’s Child”, “Something in the Air”, “Survive”, “Seven”, and “The Pretty Things Are Going To Hell”. Bowie’s setlist for that evening also included cuts like “Word on a Wing”, “Life on Mars?”, “Repetition”, the Iggy Pop collaboration “China Girl”, and “Drive-In Saturday”.
