David Crosby was one of the featured guests on Tuesday night’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he performed a song from Crosby, Stills, & Nash‘s 1969 debut album, in addition to talking about his new documentary alongside the project’s director, Cameron Crowe.

Crosby’s appearance on the popular late-night show started with the interview portion of the show, where Crowe and Crosby sat down with Fallon to discuss their collaboration for Remember My Name. Crow admits how nervous he was when he interviewed CSN at the age of just 16, which was apparently cured when Crosby, “stuck a joint in his mouth and introduced him to a bunch of girls.” Fallon then switched the conversation to reliving the time he acted in Crowe’s 2000 film, Almost Famous. The second half of the interview heard Crosby talk about his current relationship with Stephen Stills, Graham Nash, and Neil Young, to which he replied, “I have no bad stuff in my head about any of those guys man, I made too much great music with them. I love ’em.”

Speaking of his old bandmates, Crosby’s performance towards the end of the show saw the singer/guitarist revisiting “Long Time Gone”, from CSN’s 1969 debut album. Crosby was joined in the performance by the show’s house band The Roots. Watch Crosby perform the counterculture-era tune below.
