The Daze Between Band has become a staple of the week in between New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival’s two weekends. With Eric Krasno at the helm, the Soulive guitarist has been known to bring together an impressive cast of other high-profile artists, with last year’s Daze Between show at One Eyed Jacks seeing performances by members of Dead & Company, Widespread Panic, Dave Matthews Band, Gov’t Mule, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Snarky Puppy, The Motet, and others.

This year, The Daze Between Band is headed back to New Orleans, and after the extraordinarily high demand following 2017’s sold-out show, is expanding their schedule to perform two shows during the week between Jazz Fest’s massive weekend schedules. Following the band’s already sold-out performance on Wednesday, May 2nd, at One Eyed Jacks featuring Eric Krasno, Dave Schools, John Medeski, Duane Trucks, Tom Hamilton, and others, The Daze Between Band will set up shop at The Howlin’ Wolf the following night, Thursday, May 3rd, with a lineup featuring Krasno, Schools, and Trucks, as well as Marcus King and Deshawn “D’Vibes” Alexander from Marcus King Band.

With these stacked lineups, already, The Daze Between Band has poised itself for a truly incredible two-night run of music. However, today, Jam Cruise has sweetened the pot, with the announcement that the May 3rd show at The Howlin’ Wolf on Thursday will also serve as Jam Cruise’s official lineup announcement party. Earlier this month, the beloved musical cruise announced that it will be expanding to six days in 2019, adding a third port stop during the event—Jam Cruise 17 will make stops in Belize City, Belize; Cozumel, Mexico; and Progreso, Mexico.

However, six days means even more time for music, and Jam Cruise’s repeat offenders and excited first-timers have been going wild with speculations about its lineup. On May 3rd, the wait will finally be over, as Jam Cruise will announce its highly anticipated and expanded lineup for next year. In celebration, at The Daze Between Band’s show at The Howlin’ Wolf on Thursday, May 3rd, Annabel Lukins, Jam Cruise’s charismatic icon will be on hand, offering the same heartfelt introductions that have become a hallmark of the Jam Cruise experience. Jam Cruise staff and past attendees will also be around to answer questions, hype up attendees, and celebrate the music with the rest of us.

If you’ll be in New Orleans for Jazz Fest this year, don’t miss out on The Daze Between Band’s performances down in New Orleans this year! The official Jam Cruise lineup announcement party will take place during The Daze Between Band’s performance on Thursday, May 3rd, at The Howlin Wolf featuring Eric Krasno, Dave Schools, Duane Trucks, Marcus King, and DeShawn “D’Vibes” Alexander.
