Eric Krasno is bringing The Daze Between Band back to New Orleans, and this year, the virtuosic guitar player from Soulive and Lettuce has curated not one but two special nights during Jazz Fest. On Wednesday, May 2nd, Krasno, Dave Schools, and Duane Trucks have tapped famed organist/keyboardist John Medeski and versatile Joe Russo’s Almost Dead guitarist Tom Hamilton to join them for an intimate, sold-out performance at One Eyed Jack’s.

However, for fans shut out from the sold-out event or unable to make it down to The Crescent City for the show, fear not. Today, Live For Live Music has announced that the first Daze Between show on Wednesday, May 2nd, will be streamed for FREE and presented by The Legendary Underground Game of ZONK, the 35-year-old, dice-rolling, cannabis board game that flooded through the scene over the past few years.

The ZONK webcast will be live on Live For Live Music’s YouTube channel in addition to a Facebook Live stream on Live For Live Music’s Facebook page or ZONK’s Facebook page, with music lovers able to tune in at the start of the show at 10 p.m. (CT). You can also watch an embed of the show’s stream below.

On Thursday, May 3rd, Krasno, Trucks, and Schools will join forces once again at The Howlin’ Wolf, with Medeski and Hamilton swapping out for epic guitar prodigy Marcus King and his trusty keys player in the Marcus King Band, Deshawn “D’Vibes” Alexander. With these two top-notch lineups (and we’re assuming some special-guest tricks up his sleeve), Krasno will once again deliver the goods for the revelers at Jazz Fest during these two highly anticipated Daze Between show. Tickets for the second Daze Between show on Thursday, May 3rd—which is also doubling as the official Jam Cruise lineup announcement party—are still available and can be purchased here. You can check out our late night guide for a comprehensive list of what New Orleans has to offer during Jazz Fest!

ZONK Is Not Just A Game, It’s A Culture

The Legendary Underground Game of Zonk is a 35-year-old underground cannabis board game in which “HITS” of cannabis are earned during a competitive race to 10,000 points. The game is owned by Sibannacal Life and, together, they work diligently to bridge the gap between the cannabis industry and the jam band community by, among other things, providing value-added VIP Productions to festivals such as Fool’s Paradise and, most recently, Brainquility Music Festival. Sibannacal Life also produced the ZonkFamily Conference—a day of art, music, and cannabis education—last summer, which featured The Main Squeeze, The Heavy Pets, and many others.
