Hosts Payne Lindsey (Up and Vanished) and Jake Brennan (Disgraceland) will return with another season of the Dead And Gone podcast. The series exploring the open cases of missing and murdered Grateful Dead fans debuted in October 2020.

Presented by Tenderfoot TV and Double Elvis, the second season of Dead And Gone will premiere on April 6th. The first story for season two is the death of Adam Katz, who was killed outside a Grateful Dead show at Brendan Byrne Arena (now known as Meadowlands Arena) in East Rutherford, NJ on October 14th, 1989.

Lindsey and Brennan were originally slated to investigate Katz’s death—as well as several 0thers—in the first season but instead ventured down a rabbit hole focusing solely on the double murder of Mary Regina Gioia and Gregory Allen Kniffin. The season two premiere will offer a recap of the first season and an introduction to the Katz case.

Joining the hosts in season two are several sources well-versed in the history of the Dead including the band’s publicist and historian, Dennis McNally. Dean Budnick, the Relix editor-in-chief and author of the 2016 piece of Grateful Dead fiction, Might As Well, will also offer his expertise. On the true crime side, NamUs.gov (National Missing and Unidentified Persons System) database project advisor Todd Matthews will contribute in addition to journalist and fellow podcast host Billy Jensen.

Along with Katz, Dead And Gone season two will investigate the cases of Jennifer Wilmer, Bridget Pendell-Williams, and Jeremy Alex, who all either died or went missing between 1993 and 2004.
