Dead & Company will make its debut at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on October 19th and 20th, the band announced on Wednesday. The two-night stand at the famed Morrison, CO venue fills in one of the few remaining gaps in the band’s extensive 2021 summer/fall tour and will precede the band’s sold-out run at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre in nearby Englewood, CO that weekend.

Tickets for Dead & Company at Red Rocks on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 19th and 20th go on sale to the general public on September 24th at 12 p.m. MT via AXS. All attendees for the concerts will be required to present proof of full vaccination against COVID-19—either the original vaccination card, a printed copy of the vaccination card, a picture of the vaccination card, or have the mycolorado app showing proof of vaccination. All forms of vaccination must be presented with a state-issued photo ID.

While Dead & Company has never performed at Red Rocks, this Dead spirit runs deep in Morrison. The Grateful Dead performed there numerous times during the group’s three-decade run, while GratefulDead/Dead & Co members Bob Weir (with Wolf Bros) and Bill Kreutzmann (with Billy & The Kids) have both already performed at the venue in 2021.

Comprised of Grateful Dead members Weir, Kreutzmann, and Mickey Hart alongside John MayerJeff Chimenti, and Oteil Burbridge, Dead & Company is already in the midst of a lengthy summer tour. Following a Northeastern run of shows that included stops at New York’s Citi Field, the hallowed grounds of Bethel, NY, and the band’s debut at Hersheypark Stadium in Pennsylvania, Dead & Company is currently in the midst of a Midwestern run set to continue this weekend with a two-night stand at the home of the Chicago CubsWrigley Field.
