Dead & Company has announced that they will return to Riviera Maya, Mexico for their second annual Playing In The Sand destination event. The event is being hosted by the band and partners CID Presents from January 17th–20th, 2019 (as opposed to February, as in 2018), and will see band members Bob WeirBill KreutzmannMickey HartJohn MayerOteil Burbridge, and Jeff Chimenti perform for three nights on an intimate, white sandy Mexican beach, just feet away from the Caribbean. Besides their two-nights at LOCKN’ Music Festival in Arrington, Virginia, these are the only currently-announced Dead & Company shows on the schedule.

In addition to Dead & Company’s three concerts on the beach, Playing in the Sand will offer guests an assortment of curated amenities such as all-inclusive food and drink, premium hotel accommodations, shuttle service to and from Cancun International Airport, an official Dead & Company Riviera Maya gift bag, and 24-hour concierge service. There will also be a slew of on-site activities such as yoga, tequila tasting, bowling and surfing, as well as a plethora of off-site adventures that allow guests to explore Mexico’s amazing natural treasures and sacred ancient history.

The concerts will take place at host resort The Barceló Maya, with guests getting the choice to stay there or at one of the other hand-picked area resorts of varying prices and styles. Additional available accommodations include Secrets Akumal, Dreams Tulum, The Hard Rock Hotel, Unico, and the Mayakoba‘s Rosewood, Banyan Tree, and Fairmont properties.

Dead & Company is inviting fans to sign up for presale access by following this link. The presale will begin Monday, August 20th at 1 p.m. ET. All-inclusive packages will be available to the public on Wednesday, August 22nd at 1 p.m. ET. Guests can secure packages utilizing a payment plan which divides the package price into four equal payments, the first being due at the time of purchase followed by three equal monthly payments of the remaining balance September – November.
