Deadheads were abuzz this morning after images displayed on Sphere seemed to indicate that Dead & Company will return to the Las Vegas venue to continue their Dead Forever residency in 2025. Posts from the band and Live Nation subsequently quelled doubts with confirmation that the band will indeed return to Sphere for 18 shows this spring [ticketing information].

At 2 a.m. on Wednesday, a black and white photo of a Grateful Dead concert appeared on the exosphere followed by a message reading, “Dead & Company Dead Forever Live at Sphere On Sale Dec 13.” Word spread quickly among fans, but so did doubts, as the band had not yet confirmed the announcement, and some believed the Sphere images to be fake news. The message turned out to be legitimate, however, and the band seemingly the news by updating its Facebook cover image to the same black and white concert photo with the words, “Dead & Company Dead Forever Live at Sphere Las Vegas.”

Later, a post from Live Nation officially announced that Dead & Company will celebrate its 10-year anniversary with six weekends of immersive Sphere performances on March 20th–22nd and 27th–29th; April 17th–19th and 24th–26th; and May 9th–11th and 15th-17th. With Eagles booked to play the venue through mid-April, this means the bands will alternate weekends, making it possible to catch both.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, December 13th via Ticketmaster, with all-in (no fee) pricing starting at $145. This news arrives as plans for a “GD60” celebration of the Dead’s 60th anniversary remain unclear in the wake of the death of bassist Phil Lesh.
