Dead & Company is currently gearing up for the start of another summer tour here at the end of the month. To prepare their legion of Deadheads for another run of summer concerts, the band has shared a fantastic pro-shot video showcasing their performance of “Sugar Magnolia”, captured at the end of their July 14th, 2o18 show at Boulder, CO’s Folsom Field.

The new 4K video showcases Dead & Co. members Bob Weir, John Mayer, Otel Burbridge, Jeff Chimenti, Mickey Hart, and Billy Kreutzmann all playing away on the lively Grateful Dead tune which originally appeared on the band’s 1970 American Beauty LP. A barefoot Bobby Weir handled the lead vocal duties throughout the song while Mayer made sure to step up to his own mic to help out with the harmonies during the chorus. The performance wouldn’t qualify as one of the band’s extended jams, but it did come with its share of lead guitar fills and wonderful solo work courtesy of Mayer.

Dead & Company’s 2019 summer run will begin in just over a week with a show at Mountain View, CA’s Shoreline Amphitheatre on May 31st. Fans and Deadheads should head to the band’s website for tickets and tour info.
