Death Kings have shared a high-octane live video for their latest single, “Welcome To Hell“. Shared on Thursday, the song comes from the punk rock power trio’s show at the Westcott Theater in Syracuse, NY on January 21st, 2022.

Composed of bassist Ryan “Little King” Stasik (Umphrey’s McGee), guitarist Mike “Muerto” Gantzer (Aqueous), and drummer Mikey “OX” Carubba (formerly of Turkuaz), Death Kings is in the midst of its inaugural tour. Though the Syracuse show presented only the band’s third-ever live concert—following a debut at Summer Camp Music Festival and an UM pre-party in Buffalo on the 19th—Death Kings were already in fighting shape.

Joined by Brett Robertson of the Buffalo-based alt-rock group Fernway, Gantzer is able to unleash his inner shred as his jam band tendencies take a backseat to the hair-raising metal riffs that gave birth to Death Kings. While the four-minute studio recording of “Welcome To Hell” carries thrash conciseness, in the live setting the band’s improvisational prowess shines through with this extended telling. The show saw Death Kings play through the entirety of its forthcoming self-titled debut album—out on February 14th—as well as select covers from Fugazi, CKY, Turnstile, Suicidal Tendencies, Misfits, Nirvana, and more.

Watch Death Kings perform “Welcome To Hell” live in Syracuse on January 21st. The band has a number of dates left on its inaugural tour, including an Umphrey’s McGee after party tomorrow, February 11th, at Brighton Music Hall in Boston, MA and on the 17th at Woodlands Tavern in Columbus, OH.
