With Del the Funky Homosapien (Hieroglyphics),Dan the Automator (Gorillaz), and Kid Koala, having finally completed the follow-up to 2000′s epic hip-hop concept album Deltron 3030 – which took place in the year 3030 and tells of the fight between Deltron Zero’s fight against huge evil corporations that rule the universe – the new album, titled Event II is years in the making, and has been confirmed by all artists to have been worked on and near completion since 2004, yet with no real details until earlier this year.

Event II is set for a release date of October 1st, but has been preceded by the City Rising From The Ashes EP, which was released on August 13th. And now, the for the icing on the cake….a national tour with a 16-piece orchestra has been announced. A 16-piece orchestra, The Orchestra 3030, will join the trio on select dates in LA, San Fran, New York, Chicago, and other cities. A second leg will be announced in coming weeks.

Event II boasts an impressive list of cameos ranging from Gorillaz cohort Damon Albarn, Rage Against the Machine’s Zack de la Rocha, Faith No More’s Mike Patton, The Lonely Island, and Emily Wells. Also making appearances on the new Deltron 3030 album (in what capacity, it is not yet known) are actors David Cross, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Amber Tamblyn, and celebrity chef David Chang.
