Deadheads unite in Detroit rock city!

On Friday, professional N.H.L. franchise Detroit Red Wings announced their upcoming plans to revive the spirit of the Grateful Dead with a “Celebration Night”, scheduled for the team’s match against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday, March 14th at Little Caesars Arena. Fans who purchase the Dead-themed ticket package will receive a special-edition, Dead-branded Red Wings hockey jersey, in addition to access to a special pre-game music performance by Michigan-based Grateful Dead tribute band, Dead Again.

The customized jersey, as seen in the photo above, features the band’s recognizable “Stealie” logo wearing a hockey helmet, with Dead.net plastered on the backside below the player number. There’s also one of the band’s beloved dancing bear icons seen on the right shoulder of the jersey.
