Devon Allman will lead a guest-filled meeting of the minds on his upcoming album, Blues Summit, and accompanying tour. The new album from Gregg Allman‘s son is due out sometime in July (exact date not yet confirmed).
Blues Summit will feature appearances from contemporary blues torchbearer Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, sacred steel guitarist Robert Randolph, Wet Willie singer/harmonica player Jimmy Hall, guitarist Larry McCray, and New Orleans singer Sierra Green. Hall, McCray, and Green will join Allman’s new six-piece band when the Blues Summit Tour 2025 crisscrosses the U.S. this summer. This album follows Devon’s lauded studio album Miami Moon—his first in eight years—released back in August.
After a run of European festival dates, Allman will bring his tour to the U.S. on August 7th in Baton Rouge, LA. The tour will focus on the Southeast and East Coast through August with stops in Pensacola, FL (8/9), Montgomery, AL (8/10), Hopewell, VA (8/14), Norfolk, CT (8/15), Atlantic City (8/20), and others before going west in September. The last leg of the tour will visit Phoenix (9/4), Las Vegas for Big Blues Bender (9/5), Santa Fe (9/9), Beaver Creek, CO (9/10), Parker, CO (9/11), and more before wrapping at Telluride Blues & Brews (9/12).
Tickets for the 2025 Devon Allman Blues Summit Tour will go on sale this week. Visit Allman’s website for tickets and individual on-sale information.
