The world-famous Jazz Fest will return to the Fair Grounds Race Course to celebrate their 50th anniversary from Thursday, April 25th through Sunday, the 28th, and Thursday, May 2nd to Sunday, May 5th. That’s right, both weekends will start on a Thursday and end on a Sunday, alleviating some of the crowded atmospheres that the first weekend is traditionally known for.

On Friday, the legendary festival revealed another huge artist, Diana Ross–one the most iconic performers in American music history–to the already-stacked lineup. Having celebrated her Diamond Diana 75th Birthday earlier this year, the “I’m Coming Out”, “Upside Down”, “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” vocalist will make her first-ever appearance at Jazz Fest on Saturday, May 4th.
