In February, Dickey Betts confirmed that he’d perform at the Allman Brothers Band’s hometown of Macon, Georgia, on May 17th, with a special show at Macon City Auditorium. The show, which features support by the Devon Allman Project—a band led by Gregg Allman’s son, Devon Allman, and that also features Dickey’s son, Duane Betts—was one of the first dates the founding member of the Allman Brothers Band announced as part of his comeback tour following a three-year hiatus.
Recently, Dickey Betts has added a second show in the South to prepare for his May 17th performance in Macon. Two days prior on Tuesday, May 15th, Dickey Betts Band—a group composed of both Dickey and Duane as well as drummers Frankie Lombardi and Steve Camilleri, bassist Pedro Arevalo, guitarist Damon Fowler, and keyboardist Mike Kach—will host a live rehearsal show at the intimate White Buffalo Saloon in Sarasota, Florida. With this new live rehearsal show, Dickey Betts’ upcoming Sarasota performance will kick off his highly anticipated comeback tour. Following Betts’ triumphant return to Macon, GA, Betts will perform in Boca Raton, Florida, at Sunset Cove Amphitheater as part of Florida Jam with the Devon Allman Project. Two months later, Betts has scheduled a show at Great South Bay Music Festival in Patchogue, New York, on July 15th, followed by a headlining performance at New York’s iconic Beacon Theatre on July 18th. From there, Dickey Betts Man will The Peach Music Festival, which is scheduled from July 19th to 22nd in Scranton, PA, before dates on July 20th at Ridgefield Playhouse in Ridgefield, CT, and on July 21st at St. George’s Theater in Staten Island, NY.
