The Disco Biscuits return today with their first new studio track in ten years, “Lake Shore Drive”. The single marks the first in monthly a series of new singles by the Philadelphia-native live-dance outfit leading up to the release of their first album since 2010, due out this summer on the band’s own imprint in partnership with The Orchard.

“Lake Shore Drive” was introduced live by The Disco Biscuits on various occasions throughout 2021 but finds newfound clarity on the studio cut, which was produced by fellow live-electronic veteran, Cloudchord.

“To make this song, we took some techniques and styles from on stage at our live shows and brought them into the studio for what we think is yet another evolution of the Biscuits’ sound,” the band said in a statement about the instrumental. “We had a lot of fun making this together, and there’s more where that came from headed your way soon.”

The atmospheric dance track, which seems to pay homage to Chicago house music in both name and style, showcases plenty of fine-tuned electronic elements alongside the band’s tasteful instrumentation, remaining melodic and varied throughout while staying true to its nightclub-ready untz.
