It’s interesting how altering one aspect of a song can completely change its quality. One clever YouTube user named Tom Berry had the idea to reduce the speed on his record of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene”, bringing the 45 rpm single down to 33 1/3 rpm, slowing the entire track to about 75% of its original speed. The result is a groovy folk ballad, something in the realm of a Neil Young single.
