After joining forces in early 2025 to form Winderman, Colman & Kimock, three heavy hitters from the jam band scene—Eli Winderman (Dopapod, Octave Cat), Jonathan Colman (Muscle Tough), and John Morgan Kimock (Mike Gordon, Oteil & Friends, Kimock)—have released their debut album, Out of the Blue.

Recorded at Spice House Sound in Philadelphia, PA, the album features three originals blending deep funk grooves with experimental electronic-inspired beats and three covers, including far-out arrangements of the Grateful Dead‘s “Help on the Way / Slipknot”, Phish‘s “Cars Trucks Buses”, and Aphex Twin‘s “Flim”.

The trio has announced three album release shows: January 6th at Dungeon Crawl in Philadelphia, PA, with Dopapod’s Rob Compa; January 24th at Ice House in Bethlehem, PA (message the band on Instagram for info); and February 19th at Johnny Brenda’s in Philadelphia (not officially announced or on sale yet,” according to the band’s Instagram post).
