Download Festival was set to return to its longtime home at Donington Park in Derbyshire, England this summer before being canceled like many other music events around the world thanks to COVID-19. The 2020 iteration of the long-running rock festival was set to feature performances from Iron Maiden, System of a Down, BABYMETAL, Alter Bridge, The Darkness, Mastodon, The Offspring, and more.

On Thursday, festival organizers announced their plans to bring the spirit of Download to fans via a virtual webcast event planned for this summer.

The festival will broadcast a “Download TV” virtual event, featuring three days of free webcasts via the event’s social media channels on June 12th-14th. The webcasts will feature unseen performances, artist interviews, and interactive content. The announcement didn’t include a confirmed lineup of performances, but organizers hope to showcase a mix of artists who were supposed to play the festival this year.

“Pitch your tent, erect your flags and prepare to mosh,” the festival added with Thursday’s announcement. “We’re bringing Donington to you this Summer!”
