Todd Nance’s shows on drums with Widespread Panic at Panic En La Playa earlier this month may have been his last with the band. Duane Trucks will be assuming the position behind the kit tonight when Panic plays The Classic Center in Athens, GA.

According to JamBase, who reached out for comment from band representatives when rumors began to swirl of Nance’s departure, they’ve confirmed “Duane will be the drummer for Widespread Panic moving forward. Todd will not be on stage this evening.” Nance had been with the band from its inception in 1986, all the way up until 2014 when he went on hiatus to “take time to attend to personal matters.” We hope and wish Nance the best of luck in his future endeavors.
