Electric Daisy Carnival will return to New York this year on the the road the the mega-festival in Las Vegas, although this year sees some minor changes. Instead of taking place at Giant Stadium, in New Jersey, the festival will take place at Citi Field, and as of right now, it is only scheduled for two day, May 17-18. Last year’s festival was expanded to three days after the first two sold out in minutes. It was also the first time Electric Daisy Carnival took place in New York.
For the second year in a row Insomniac will be working with RPM Worldwide, Pacha New York, to bring you the hottest artists, state-of-the-art lighting and sound, theatrical performers, interactive art installations and pyrotechnics. “Based on the tremendous success of the first EDC New York in 2012, there was no question that Insomniac would return to the loyal fans in New York who truly enjoy the multi-sensory experience that we create,” said Insomniac CEO Pasquale Rotella.Earlier in the year, EDC announced plans to add Chicago to it’s list of locations, which also includes Puerto Rico, Orlando, and of course the main event in Las Vegas. EDC is known for it’s over the top visual spectacles and top notch talent. Last year’s line-up included Armin Van Buuren, Avicii, Afrojack, Steve Angello, Bassnectar, and more.
