The Sandy benefits keep on coming, allowing New York City to heal through both music and financial relief. The latest is ‘EDM For Sandy Relief’, a benefit to take place on November 19th at the Gramercy Theater.
Legendary DJs The Crystal Method will be joined by Trouble and Bass head honcho Drop The Lime, Brooklyn Fire CEO Tommie Sunshine, Run DMT, and more to raise money for the American Red Cross for this huge event. In addition to the proceeds generated through the event, a Thanksgiving food and clothing drive will also take place, in addition to a silent auction.
Says Tommie Sunshine, founder and CEO of Brooklyn Fire, “Creating this was an easy decision as my family almost lost our summer home in Manasaquan, NJ. It was my Grandmother’s house & I spent every summer of my life visiting the Jersey Shore there. To see such devastation moved me to action. I wanted to go down there to help but that proved impossible, so I did what I could from here in Brooklyn & called Parag to join forces in creating what has become something very special. One of the best aspects of this is that Live Nation has let us make this event ALL AGES so with the kids involved, I feel like this is going to be one rowdy Monday night in NYC.”
‘EDM for Sandy Relief’ is an all ages event, and tickets are $20. Tickets are available now, sans all fees, via Ticketmaster.
