You may know Jake Brownstein as the guitarist for New Haven, CT quartet Eggy, but he’s aiming to etch his name in the history books with a non-musical exploit: a world record for the longest-ever backward basketball shot.

In a video shared to Eggy’s social media accounts on Thursday, Brownstein spots up in section 408 of his hometown stadium, New Haven’s Westville Music Bowl, and after dedicating the shot to “truth, love, and family,” nails the roughly 150-foot attempt on a basket set up on the venue floor, shattering the current Guinness record of 85 feet and five inches. Brownstein told Live For Live Music that he is currently in the process of having the record officially certified by Guinness.
