This year, Summer Camp Music Festival is bringing what looks to be their best line up ever to Chillicothe, IL during the last weekend of May. Asides from three days of Umphrey’s McGee and Moe., the legendary Jane’s Addiction and Primus will join the bill in addition to some of the biggest names in the modern music landscape. But you already know about the headliners – what else is going on? Live For Live Music’s picked eight new artists you might not have heard of yet that you definitely should catch at this year’s Summer Camp.

Gigantic Underground Conspiracy

You may not know the name ‘Gigantic Underground Conspiracy’ but you probably know the members who collectively make the band. A collaboration between Marc Brownstein and Aron Magner of the Disco Biscuits and Conspirator, Chris Michetti of Conspirator and RAQ, Dominic Lalli and Jeremy Salken of Big Gigantic, and Ben Baruch of the Underground Orchestra, these guys absolutely know how to rock. Formed on New Years Day earlier this year, Gigantic Underground Conspiracy is the newest supergroup, combining the sounds of some of the biggest names in livetronica to mix the heavy bass and jams of Conspirator with the jazzy saxophones of Big Giantic to create a sound that takes on a life of their own. These guys play both during the day and at an after party that will no doubt get crazy – if you’re a fan of any of these bands, make sure you check em out.
