Instrumental, electronic-based trio Elephant Wrecking Ball is hitting the road this fall for a run of tour dates throughout October.

Comprised of Dopapod drummer Neal “Fro” Evans, trombonist Scott Flynn (Odesza), and bassist Dan Africano (Ghost Light), the powerhouse trio will embark on a 17-date fall tour in support of their new studio album, JOY FRONT, set to be released on October 11th.

The forthcoming album marks the trio’s fourth studio album and first since their 2017 release, Engage. As the band explains, JOY FRONT “successfully weaves adventurous musical explorations over beds of electronic-infused dub-like grooves, proving that the act of embracing a variety of styles can be channeled into an identity that is focused and pure despite its lack of a singular genre.”

While each member isn’t on the road with their other touring projects, the three come together to bring a mix of jazz, hip-hop, and electronic music, constantly striving for a memorable, new sound.

“Its been a while since we’ve been on tour, and we are extremely excited about it. We have a lot of fun surprises and new things to bust out in our live show to blow your minds,” Evans said. “And as for this album, its been a long time coming and we can’t wait to finally share this music with you. We feel its the best album we have made so far and we are stoked for you to hear it.”

The trio will hit the road this month for a string of tour dates, beginning at Kearney, NE’s The Other Side on October 16th and Davenport, IA’s River Music Experience on October 17th before heading to Chicago, IL’s Bourbon on Divison on October 18th and Milwaukee, MI’s The Miramar Theatre on October 19th for a pair of co-headlining shows with Bob Lanzetti.
