Announced on Wednesday, Elton John’s 2020 tour schedule will now include NYC-area shows at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY (4/6, 4/7); Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY (4/10, 4/11); Prudential Center in Newark, NJ (4/15); and NYCB LIVE’s Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, NY (4/17, 4/18).

John returned to North America for the latest leg of his farewell tour back on September 4th. He’ll continue to perform across the United States and Canada throughout the fall until wrapping the leg on November 15th following a show at the TD Garden in Boston, MA. His next tour performance is scheduled for the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, WA on Wednesday.

John stressed that his decision to retire following the tour has nothing to do with his health the tour’s initial announcement back in early 2018.

“My priorities have changed in my life,” he said with the announcement. “My priorities now are my children, my husband, my family. I thought the time is right to say thank you to my fans and say goodbye.”

Tickets for the new dates go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, September 27th, at 10 a.m. local time via John’s website.
