Pop icon Elton John has added six additional U.S. performances to his ongoing Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour, spanning April through June 2020.
Announced on Wednesday, Elton John’s 2020 tour schedule will now include performances at Louisville, KY’s KFC Yum! Center (4/26); Detroit, MI’s Little Caesars Arena (5/1 & 5/2); Jacksonville, FL’s Veterans Memorial Arena (6/3); Lexington, KY’s Rupp Arena (6/5); and Des Moines, IA’s Wells Fargo Arena (6/11).
John returned to North America for the latest leg of his farewell tour back on September 4th. He’ll continue to perform across the United States and Canada throughout the fall until wrapping the leg on November 15th with a performance at Boston, MA’s TD Garden. Next up for John is a performance at Los Angeles, CA’s Greek Theatre on October 17th.
According to the initial tour announcement in 2018, John stressed that his decision to retire following the tour has nothing to do with his health.
“My priorities have changed in my life,” he said with the announcement. “My priorities now are my children, my husband, my family. I thought the time is right to say thank you to my fans and say goodbye.”
A fan pre-sale for American Express cardholders is now underway and runs through Monday, October 14th. Tickets go on sale to the general public next Friday, October 18th at 10 a.m. local time here.
