The world’s oldest annual music festival, the Reading Festival, and it’s sister festival Leeds, have announced Eminem as next summer’s first headliner. The festivals, which take place over the same weekend and share the same line-up, will return next summer between August 23rd and 25th. This will be Eminem’s second time at the festival – he last performed there in 2001 after the release of ‘The Marshal Mathers LP’.
Already announced this year are The Deftones, Alt-J, Sub Focus, and Boy Better Know. New for this year will be the additions of a hip hop stage, and the expansion of the dance music stage to all three nights. There will also be a second entrance added and extra late night entertainment.
Tickets are on sale now at the 2012 price point until December 31st.
